In packing to leave for Tanzania, I have had to go through many of my things. In this process I found so many great memories—quotes from our quote board freshman year, a bracelet made out of a guitar string and some ovary jokes, letters, cards, etc…It made me really happy. I can honestly say that I have the best friends and family in the entire world. You all are so awesome and I feel so lucky to have you in my life.
From studying together, hiking, singing karaoke/karaoke parties at my house, sitting in the car staring at each other trying to figure where to go out to eat (yeah for indecisiveness), traveling, skiing or snowboarding (that one and only time), laughing, backpacking, still being my friend after I have peed on you (the number of people this applies to is embarrassing), laying in bed, watching LOST, dates at the cheap seats, too much booty in da pants, eating lasagna and banana pancakes (or waffles—haha, at least I gave you a few options, albeit not many), watching movies, eating DP Doughs, drinking on a Monday while singing American Honey over and over again at the top of our lungs, rafting, “uh…Sarah, I don’t think that is a very good idea” (then me doing it anyway because I am stubborn…then regretting it because you are always right!), Darrin and his awesome dance grooves, bike in movies, smoothies, helping me shower after surgery—and then making me laugh so hard I thought I lost the stitches, coloring books, Mamma Mia on painkillers (haha, the flipper scene…epic), Yellowstone visits, falling in rivers, getting stuck in holes, bison jams (with me really needing to use the restroom), helping me put on my windshield wipers in the pouring rain, Rockies games (and hot dogs as long as my forearm—awesome even after our bad luck!), playing COD (but only with knives on your part so I had a chance at winning), singing while hiking (and awesome bear calls), thermo/chemE parties, late nights in Anderson, all-nighters on gmail chat (freakin’ lab reports), dinner parties (Ryan: hey Liesel, Sarah and I are hungry, will you make us something for dinner tonight? Liesel: yes, I guess, what do you want? Ryan: beef wellington—haha!), old snakey, Allison, Tour De Fat, working hard, sharing physics with kids, awesome 360 degree high fives (thanks for being sports, and letting me do this all the time!), Spoons, the rape room, Gorkins, Thursday dinner dates after lab, game nights, earth day 2010, YNP ’07,’08,’09, and ’10! (rather interesting pictures at shadow mountain), visits to your home home and seeing where you came from, graduation—and so many more…thanks for all the great memories, and I am positive we will have many more!
Also, thank you so much for being there, for your support, friendship, advice (even through my stubbornness). I am here for you whenever you need me, even in Africa. Let me know what is up, I want to be in the loop still as to what is happening with you. I love you all so much, I will miss you but don’t worry we will talk very soon.
With love, your friend,
